AOUDAD HUNTING
Aoudad hunting in the mountains of west Texas can be one of the most rewarding but most brutal hunts our state has to offer. Extreme heat, steep slopes, rocky terrain and a seemingly endless amount of thorny vegetation set the scene. These north African sheep have adapted well in an environment that closely resembles that of their native range. Countless hours of hiking and glassing are to be expected in search of a mature ram as these hunts are all spot and stalk.
These are four day hunts. One half day at arrival, three full days, and a half day on departing. You will be provided with home-style cooked meals and ranch house style lodging if available. Our guides are some of the most friendly and professional in the business. We will be targeting 30”+ rams over 9 years of age and the majority of shots will be between 200 and 600 yards pending conditions.
